Q: Do I actually “win” candy?
A: No, the site is named “Win Free Candy” because we liked the name! The “candy” that you win is cash and gift cards. If you win a cash prize, you are going to have provide your PayPal address
when we contact you. If you win a gift card, you will have to have a valid address in your Profile area.
Q: How much can I win?
A: During the Win Free Candy beta period, which will last until at least March 1, 2008, we will not be awarding cash prizes. We need
this trial period to refine our system and establish the rates we get
from our advertisers.
To reward those founding members who sign up during the beta period,
everyone that earns at least 5 Points will be entered in our prize pool
for 3 cash prizes of $25 each.
Q. What do I need to do to play?
A. All you have to do to play is to go to Win Free Candy and surf
the Win Free Candy network of Web sites. Every time you a Web site in our network, you have a chance to win an entry into a our currently
active prize contests. All you have to do to play is to go to Win Free
Candy.
Q. How do I refer other people?
A. Once you register as a member, there are two ways to refer other
people to Win Free Candy. First, you can use your user id number
as a referral code. When someone you refer signs up by visiting
the site from the URL that you use to refer them, you are automatically
counted as the Referrer. Second, you can simply give out your special referral URL, which you can find on the “Referral
Tool Page”. Then,
anyone who clicks on that URL will automatically be entered under you.
Q. Is there any disadvantage to being referred by someone?
A. Nope, the amount of money that you can win is the same whether you come to Win Free Candy on your own or it you're referred by one of our
existing members. Nor does it matter who refers you, it just gives more points to the referring person.
Q. Why is the system not accepting my image entry?
A. Click on the browser refresh button to change the displayed image and renter the new image.
Q. How do I know when I’ve
won? Will you tell me in the top frame of my search results page,
or with some kind of pop-up window?
A. If you are an instant winner, you'll be asked to enter a special
code (captcha) to claim your Points and be entered in our prize
drawings. We select prize winners from the ranks of Point
earners. Sometimes we give prizes to the highest Point
earners. Sometimes the winners are random. There is no limit on the number of Points you can win. But the more Points you have, the better your chances of winning.
Q. How do I use my referral link?
A. Your referral link takes people to a
special signup page with your username in the “Referred By” field.
As long as a person signs up on that page and doesn’t deliberately erase your username
from the “Referred By” field, you will
receive credit for the referral.
Q. Where can I find my referral link?
A. You can find your referral link under
“My Profile” in the Members Area.
Q. Can I be referred by more than one person?
A. When you join, you can tell us that you weren't referred by anyone, or that you were referred by a single person, but you can't be referred by more than one person. Note that you may have several
referrers in your referral chain – Albertrefers Bob, Bob refers Carl, and Carl refers you.
